The National Contest for Science and Technology RoSEF2016 is addressed to youngsters passionate about innovation and invention, enrolled in middle school and high-school (from 5th to 12th grade, with an age limit of 19 years old). They are encouraged to participate in the contest with a work presented as an exhibit or as a poster, which must be subscribed no later than 20 June. The contest is organised by the School Inspectorate of the Suceava County, The Scientific Society Cygnus – UNESCO Centre, Ștefan cel Mare University – Suceava, National College Petru Rareș – Suceva, in partnership with the European Space Education Resource Office – Romania (ESERO România). The event will take place between 24-26 June in Suceava.
The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) announces the launch of the Gravity Related Research Summer School, organised by the European Space Academy (ESA) between 27 June and 1 July 2016. The ESA summer school is organised with the assistance of the European Low Gravity Research Association (ELGRA) and it is addressed to students from science and engineering faculties.
The finals of the CanSat National Competition, organised by ESERO Romania, a project of the European Space Agency (ESA) in collaboration with the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA), is held between 14 and 17 April in Suceava. World Space Week 2015 witnessed a record number of 1,877 of events in 73 countries around the world, surpassing the previous record of almost 1600 events. At national level, World Space Week is coordinated by the Education Department of the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA).
The preselection for the second edition of the National CanSat Competition - Romania 2016 has ended and nine teams have been selected to join the national phase, which will be held in Suceava between 21-24 April 2016. The event is organised by ESERO Romania, a project of the European Space Agency (ESA) in collaboration with the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA).
This year’s edition of the Alpbach Summer School will be held from 12 to 21 July, and will focus on “Satellite Observations of the Global Water Cycle". University students have until 31 March 2016 to apply.
