‘Drop Your Thesis!’

on 03 October 2013

The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) invites Romanian university student teams to take part in the "Drop Your Thesis!" competition organised by the European Space Agency and addressed to all ESA Member States and Cooperating States.

ESA will offer students the chance to run their experiments five times in the world-class drop tower situated at the Center of Applied Space Technology and Microgravity (ZARM) at the University of Bremen, Germany. The ZARM drop tower has been referred to as Germany’s anti-gravity machine. It can provide up to 9.3 seconds of microgravity conditions, as if the experiment had been taken into space.

Interested teams from Romania should register for the 2014 campaign on the ESA Education Office's project portal and upload their completed application by 19 January 2014.

The winning team will be announced in March and the experimental campaign will take place in the autumn of 2014. The students are then expected to submit a final report on their project’s results four months later.
