The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) invites primary-school teachers from Romania to apply for the e-Technology Lab workshops on technology and robotics, organised by the European Space Agency (ESA). The workshops will take place respectively on 27-28 January, 27-28 February and 23-24 March 2020. Interested teachers can choose to apply to one of the three workshops only. The deadlines for applications are 13 December 2019, 3 January 2020 and 31 January 2020 respectively.
The number of places is limited and open to primary school teachers of STEM-related subjects. Priority will be given to teachers who have never attended any ESA e-Technology Lab workshop before.
The teachers will learn how to use a range of educational technology tools such as LEGO, Astro Pi and Arduino to talk about space and create interactive and engaging activities for students. Teachers will also learn how they can make use of these educational tools to participate in ESA classroom projects with their students.
The workshops will take place at the ESA Education Training Centre at ESEC-Galaxia, located in Transinne, Belgium.
For the duration of the workshop, accommodation, catering and local transportation will be organised and supported by ESA’s Education Office. Travel expenses will be covered by ESA up to a maximum of 200€ per teacher.
