The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) invites secondary teachers to apply for the E-Technology Lab workshops organised by the European Space Agency (ESA) in Belgium. The three workshops will take place on 15-17 January, 5-7 February and 9-11 March. Interested teachers can choose to apply to one of the three workshops only. The deadlines to submit applications are 5 December 2019, 16 December 2019 and 13 January 2020 respectively.
The number of places is limited and open to secondary school teachers of STEM-related subjects. Priority will be given to teachers who have never attended any ESA e-Technology Lab workshop before.
The teachers will learn how to use a range of educational technology tools such as LEGO, Astro Pi and Arduino to talk about space and create interactive and engaging activities for students. Teachers will also find out how they can make use of these educational tools to participate in ESA classroom projects with their students.
The workshop will take place at the ESA Education Training Centre at ESEC-Galaxia, located in Transinne, Belgium.
For the duration of the workshop, accommodation, catering and local transportation will be organised and supported by ESA’s Education Office. Travel expenses will be covered by ESA up to a maximum of 200€ per teacher.
Applications can be submitted as follows:
- 5 December 2019 for the workshop taking place from 15-17 January 2020;
- 16 December 2019 for the workshop taking place from 5 to 7 February 2020;
