Applications open for the ESA technology and robotics workshop for primary teachers

on 07 October 2019

The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) invites primary-school teachers from Romania to apply for the e-Technology Lab workshop on technology and robotics, organised by the European Space Agency (ESA). The workshop will take place on 2-3 December 2019 in Belgium. Applications are open until 11 October 2019.

The number of places is limited and open to primary school teachers of STEM-related subjects. Priority will be given to teachers who have never attended any ESA e-Technology Lab workshop before.

The teachers will learn how to use a range of educational technology tools such as LEGO, Astro Pi and Arduino to talk about space and create interactive and engaging activities for students. Teachers will also learn how they can make use of these educational tools to participate in ESA classroom projects with their students.

The workshops will take place at the ESA Education Training Centre at ESEC-Galaxia, located in Transinne, Belgium.

For the duration of the workshop, accommodation, catering and local transportation will be organised and supported by ESA’s Education Office. Travel expenses will be covered by ESA up to a maximum of 200€ per teacher.
