Applications Open for 2017 REXUS and BEXUS competitions

on 06 July 2017

The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) invites university students to take part in the 11th cycle of the REXUS/BEXUS (Rocket / Balloon Experiment for University Students) programme, organised by the Swedish National Space Board (SNSB) and the German Space Agency (DLR), in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA). Applications are now open and will close on 16 October 2017.

In order to apply, student teams should send an experiment proposal before 16 October 2017. A maximum of 15 teams will be preselected to attend a workshop at ESA-ESTEC in the Netherlands, from 28 – 30 November 2017, when final selection will take place.

Selected teams will have the opportunity to experience the entire lifecycle of a space project, including technical reviews, the launch campaign, operations and data analysis. Teams may also have the opportunity to present their results at a professional conference following their flight.

The selected experiments will be carried out with a stratospheric balloon in October 2018 or with a sounding rocket in March 2019, at the Estrange Space Centre.

More details about the programmes and application process are available here.
