Call for student applications Concurrent Engineering Challenge

on 16 June 2017

The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) invites Romanian students to take part in the Concurrent Engineering Challenge organised by ESA Academy from 12 to 15 September 2017 at ESA Academy’s Training and Learning Centre. ESA is looking for 22 university students from an ESA Member or Associate State with an engineering or physics background. The deadline for applications is 24 July 2017.

The ESA Academy Challenge will feature groups of students who will be given a specific mission to design in four days, by using the concurrent engineering product designing and developing method.

Those involved in the challenge will learn about the Concurrent Engineering approach and its benefits, and how to use the Open Concurrent Design Tool (OCDT). Also, they will have the chance to learn how ESA assesses technical and financial feasibility of space missions.

ESA will cover the cost of accommodation and meals as well as up to 200 euros for travelling to Redu, Belgium, for each selected student.
