The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) invites Romanian Bachelor or Masters students in engineering or science to participate at the second edition of the Gravity Related Research Summer School. The event is organised by the European Space Agency (ESA) in collaboration with the European Low Gravity Research Association (ELGRA), between 26 – 30 June 2017, in Redu, Belgium. The deadline for registrations is 1 May 2017.
The Summer School will explain the opportunities offered by research at all gravity levels and it will provide an overview of current research under microgravity and hypergravity conditions. Students will attend lectures and work in groups to identify ideas for prospective experiments.
Participants will need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- be aged between 18 and 32 years old;
- be citizens of an ESA Member or Associated State;
- be enrolled as a full-time BSc or MSc student, studying engineering or science;
- have never taken part in a gravity-related activity;
- have never received a sponsorship provided by ESA’s Education Office or ELGRA.
Selected participants will benefit from a sponsorship offered by ESA which will cover the accommodation and meals costs, as well as transportation up to 200 euro.
In order to participate at the ESA/ELGRA Gravity Related Research Summer School, the students are invited to complete this form no later than 1 May 2017, but also to respect the participation conditions, which can be found here.
