The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) invites Romanian students interested in aeronautics to apply to a four-day course held by the European Space Agency’s Education Office. The “Ladybird Guide to Spacecraft Operations” will take place between 11-14 October 2016 at the ESA Academy — Training and Learning Centre in Redu, Belgium.

The course will be taught by an ESA expert from the Advanced Operations Concepts Office of ESOC (European Space Operations Centre), Darmstadt, Germany. Formal lectures, real-life examples and simulating an operation problem and its solving will be part of the course. The course is addressed to full time students in the field of science or engineering, BSc to PhD students, aged between 18 and 32 years old and citizens of ESA’s Member States and Cooperating States. Students should have basic knowledge in physics and should be interested in finding out more about spacecraft operations.

In order to participate at the class, students are required to fill this form. They will also have to provide a motivation letter, a CV, a recommendation letter and the academic records. The deadline to apply is 4 September 2016.
