on 25 April 2016

The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) announces the launch of the Gravity Related Research Summer School, organised by the European Space Academy (ESA) between 27 June and 1 July 2016. The ESA summer school is organised with the assistance of the European Low Gravity Research Association (ELGRA) and it is addressed to students from science and engineering faculties.

The summer school is part of ESA Academy’s Training and Learning Programme and it is available for students enrolled in bachelor and masters studies.

Those who are interested to apply for ESA’s summer school should know that the courses will be held at the Training and Learning Center, situated at ESA’s Centre in Redu, Belgium, and that the deadline for applications is 2 May (no later than 23:59 CET, 00:59 Romania local time).

Participants will be able to study about research in the field of gravity, as experts in the field will provide details about the current projects related to microgravity or hyper-gravity.

An important aspect is that the students enrolled in the programme will have the opportunity to propose gravity projects ideas that could be turned to experiments through ESA’s educational programmes.

In order to apply at the Gravity Related Research Summer School, the students will have to comply with several requirements related to their age, level of studies and citizenship. Participants will receive a sponsorship offered by ESA, designed to cover the accommodation and travel expenses.

Students can register on the official platform of ESA’ Education Office and to submit their academic records, a motivation letter, a CV and a recommendation letter signed by an academic representative.
