Participate at Asteroid Day, 30 June 2016

The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) invites Romanian organisations to participate on 30 June 2016 at an an international event, Asteroid Day, organised with the purpose of raising awareness on the risks of asteroid impacts and the methods to protect Earth.

The event was established on this date in the memory of the Tunguska impact from 1908, which was the largest asteroid impact in recent history.

Romanian organisations and institutions that wish to participate at the Asteroid Day should submit their request by filling out the official form in which they have to provide information on the organiser, the location proposed for the event, and the public to which the event will be addressed to.

Planned activities should draw attention on the importance of planetary defence and they can vary from cultural events, concerts, film screenings, to on-line activities. Although Asteroid Day is held on 30 June, the event can also be established on a different day.
