Romania plans to cover outstanding payments to ESA by end of the year

The Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitisation has initiated a draft Government Decision regarding the full payment of Romania's remaining financial contribution to the European Space Agency's (ESA) optional programmes for the period 2019-2022.

Event Space and Security for Eastern Europe. Romania — 10 years in the European Space Agency

The event „Space and Security for Eastern Europe. Romania — 10 years in the European Space Agency” will take place between 16 and 19 May.
Organised by the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA),the event includes two days of conference (May 16-17) and four days of exhibition (16-19 May) and brings together the most important actors in research, academia and space industry in Romania, as well as representatives at European level, such as the European Commission and the European Space Agency (ESA).

ESA Teach with Space Online Conference 2022

The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) is calling primary and secondary teachers to register for ESA Online Space Teacher Conference, taking place from 5 to 7 July 2022. The deadline for registration is 15 June 2022.

Mission Space Lab: 23 teams from Romania achieved Flight Status

ESA Education and Raspberry Pi Foundation announced that 299 teams participating in this year’s European Astro Pi Mission Space Lab Challenge achieved Flight Status. Among them, 23 teams are from Romania. Their programs are the first to run on the brand new Astro Pis on the International Space Station (ISS).

Competiţia Exo-RO

Competiţia Naţională de Rovere Exo-RO pentru elevii de liceu este organizată de Agenţia Spaţială Română (ROSA) în sinergie cu ESERO România — Biroul European de Resurse pentru Educație Spațială, cu scopul de a trezi interesul tinerilor faţă de domeniul spaţial şi de a creşte calitatea învăţământului prin formarea de competenţe profesionale pentru tineri.

Prin participarea la această competiţie, echipele de elevi vor avea ocazia să ia parte la toate fazele tipice ale unui proiect de robotică, de la selectarea obiectivelor, proiectarea şi integrarea componentelor, până la testarea sistemului în final. Ca urmare a acestui proces, participanţii vor învăţa în mod practic şi se vor familiariza cu metodologia de cercetare ştiinţifică, îşi vor însuşi concepte noi, vor aprofunda sau consolida cunoştinţe de tehnologie şi programare, vor învăţa importanța coordonării şi a lucrului în echipă şi, nu în ultimul rând, îşi vor îmbunătăți abilitățile de comunicare.
