Online meeting with Ana-Maria Neculăescu, from the National Institute of Aerospace Research “Elie Carafoli" - INCAS

On Friday, 17 April 2020, from 3:00 pm, the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) invites you to take part in an online meeting with Ana-Maria Neculăescu, scientific researcher at the National Institute of Aerospace Research “Elie Carafoli" - INCAS. The title of the event is "What is the current situation of space launchers in the world?" The event is organised by ESERO, a project of the European Space Agency (ESA) in collaboration with ROSA, and can be followed live on the ESERO Romania Facebook page.

Ever since she was in school, Ana-Maria Neculăescu had an interest in the field of launch vehicles (space missiles). She later graduated from the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering of the Politehnica University of Bucharest. She also graduated from two space Master degree programs, and is now a PhD student studying the optimization of launch vehicle trajectories. She is a scientific researcher at INCAS and focusing her research on reusable spacecraft and launch vehicles.

On Friday, Ana-Maria will present the resources of the space powers in the field of launchers, both at the international and European level. She will also talk about the participation of INCAS in a preliminary project that aims to design a small launcher.

The National Institute for Aerospace Research "Elie Carafoli" - INCAS is a prominent research institution in the field of aerospace sciences in Romania, with a tradition of over 60 years in aerospace engineering, flow physics and applied aerodynamics. It manages advanced technologies and has a unique infrastructure of national strategic importance. With the support of the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA), INCAS has a Centre of Competence in the field of launch vehicles and it is implementing several research and development projects at national and European level.
