The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA), as the coordinating organisation of the National Programme for Space Technology and Advanced Research — STAR, is organising the 2015 edition of the Romanian Space Week (RSW2015), under the auspices of the Romanian Ministry of Education and Scientific Research — National Authority for Scientific Research and Innovation.

The event will take place between 27-29 May at the Conference Centre of the National R&D Institute for Aerospace Research “Elie Carafoli” (INCAS), located at 220, Blvd. Iuliu Maniu, District 6, in Bucharest, Romania.

RSW2015 completes the efforts towards promoting the development of space activities in Romania and will include a series of events aiming to bring together the main actors in the space sector: researchers, engineers and technicians, policy makers, space technology and application providers and users.

The core event of the week will be the public presentation of the status and latest achievements of the projects financed following the C1-2012 and C2-2013 competitions of the National Programme for Space Technology and Advanced Research — STAR, which aims to increase the competitiveness of Romanian research-development-innovation entities in order to successfully participate in ESA’s Programmes.

Participants will also have the opportunity to deliver technical presentations and participate in bilateral meetings to exchange ideas and views for future projects and collaborations.

Several recommendations on key strategic space issues are expected to result from the sessions based on open discussions and deliberations.
