Open Call for Gravity-Related Research Summer School

on 18 March 2020

The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) is inviting university students to apply for the Gravity-Related Research Summer School, organised by ESA's Education Office and the European Low Gravity Research Association (ELGRA). The courses will take place between the 22-26 June 2020 at ESEC-Galaxia in Transinne, Belgium. The deadline for applications is 20 April 2020.

This exciting Summer School offers an overview of the current research under microgravity and hypergravity conditions in Life and Physical Sciences and explains the interest and benefits of performing research and technology demonstrations at different gravity levels.

Over four and a half days, 30 university students will attend stimulating lectures and work in small groups to devise ideas for prospective experiments. These future scientists and engineers will understand the possibilities in research studies and careers in the European space sector.

The selected students will be sponsored by ESA. The sponsorship will cover accommodation and meals as well as up to 200 Euros for travelling to Belgium.

Applicants are kindly requested to note that, depending on the evolution of the corona virus situation in Europe, and in line with the recommendations of ESA's Director General on travel restrictions for health and safety reasons, the ESA Education Office reserves the right to cancel this ESA Academy's training session, to limit potential exposure of participants or employees to the virus.

More information about the application procedure can be found here.
